Chronic Illness? Pull back …

by iamlynnclarkLeave a Comment on Chronic Illness? Pull back …

And it doesn’t really seem to matter what the age, women are conditioned, it seems, to carry on superhero lives.

  • I mean ... we tend to give others the best of us and forget to do at least that much FIRST for ourselves! ⠀
⠀
Save some nurturing, caring, and gentleness, hard honesty, and love for yourself! Don’t give it all away. Don’t deplete your stores. Save some for yourself. ⠀

  • I took part in the 10 year challenge on Facebook, but truth is ... photo on the left was pre-chronic illness diagnoses and I felt just fine. Clearly, I was puffy-fluffy in the photo. I had no idea then of how profoundly my life would change. Do we ever?⠀
⠀
And the most recent photo? I was sick as a dog that day. It was a Sunday and I was determined to go to church. I put on makeup and my best smile but I wasn’t able to stay for service and went back home, sick as a dog and trembling with an anxiety attack. ⠀
⠀
Sure we have on a smile and truthfully I really didn’t look sick! I didn’t look like what I was going through. (I even had on my best eye concealer)! But I had to push on through, or try to. ⠀
⠀
So to you I have to say that you need to have an arsenal of tools and plans in place for those days when you “just can’t “ so you can rest, regroup, and try again! You do. ⠀

  • It’s a work day (all but Sundays are) in my business. I really think most women who are active in their lives but have a chronic illness need to know how to create a new reality. No overwhelm, because we don’t need that. No hopelessness because we have yet much to get done. It is important and imperative in order to life fully day-to-day. So that’s why I’m creating my 5-step signature system. Get in the waiting list in my bio if you’re needing to see it! #empoweryourself use those #spoons well

  • Mannn ... I have to be STRONGER! I have to get MORE muscle. I need to get more fat OFF because toxins live there. Plus going even One day a week is far better than the time I was forced to lay in bed trying so hard to fight off a vicious cold virus! So. Yeah. I DID A THING! Yay me! #spoonielife #chronicliving #takingbackmypower one thing at a time!

  • It’s truly a holistic approach. With anything. Any change with health or living. Address your WHOLE self or you could wind up right back where you were! It happens a lot. Do the hard work as well as the other work.

  • Look at this gorgeous sky! So yes, I’m still walking. Except...I couldn’t go to my favorite park because today is the MS walk I forgot to sign up for. Judging by the crowd, it was packed, by the way, it would’ve triggered me to feel anxious! That’s not part of my healing in the least. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ So I had heard this new sports complex was really nice, so I now have a new option! I signed up for their walking club and did a smooth mile before I came back home from doing errands! I stayed on track. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Lesson? Make up your mind BEFORE you have to make the decision! I could’ve easily just driven back to the house and sat down. After this past week I really could’ve done that. But I already made the decision and so this is my 3rd was all this week. I’m so proud I took those steps. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Be intentional. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #makingmy50sfab #beintentionaleveryday truly #selfcare #imnotplaying with this thing!
